District Awards

Rotarians serve communities throughout the world and do not receive any payment for their service except an occasional thank you. This is why Rotarians and others recognize extra efforts with awards. Rotary International offers awards to recognize the efforts and contributions of Rotarians, Rotary clubs, and non-Rotarians. Eligible nominators may submit nominations according to each award’s criteria and guidelines.

Citation for Rotary Clubs

The Rotary Citation awards recognize the hard work clubs do throughout the year. Working to achieve the citation goals helps clubs engage their members, stay relevant in their communities, and run more efficiently. A welcoming and engaging club also reflects the values of Rotary. When clubs achieve citation goals, they contribute to the overall health and culture of Rotary for generations to come.

Help Recognize the Extraordinary

Rotary’s highest honor for an individual Rotarian is the Service Above Self Award. The award recognizes Rotarians who have rendered exemplary humanitarian service with an emphasis on personal volunteer efforts. Members of the Rotary community work hard to create positive change at home and around the world. And because of this, they’re making clubs stronger, communities better, and peace possible. Thank them for their dedication and valuable contributions by recognizing them with one of the following awards.
