Rotary Youth Leadership Awards 2020
(April 17-19, 2020)
DUE TO THE RECENT OUTBREAK OF THE COVID-19 VIRIS – THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED.
The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards program in District 6460 is a leadership development and award for high school students who make an impact on their school and community. The program develops leaders and encourages them to build connections and teamwork skills with peers from both in their district and in other countries.
RYLA in District 6460 is a collaborative effort by the District 6460 Rotaract Clubs. Facilitators for the weekend include multiple group leaders, chairs, and coordinators. District leaders from Rotary clubs are also directly involved in creating the program and facilitating the weekend.
The Rotaract Clubs and District 6460 Rotarian volunteers will provide everything to make this a successful weekend, with one exception. They need your club to sponsor outstanding high school sophomores and juniors from your area high school(s) to attend this event. The goal is to have two or more sophomores from each high school in District 6460 attend the RYLA weekend. Your club members can nominate students that they know, or you may contact your high school’s guidance counselors to recommend students for the event. Future Interact Club leaders will benefit greatly from this program. It is not essential that the high school has an Interact club. In fact, sending a student to RYLA is a great first step to getting an Interact club started at your high school.
Information and application form are available on the right side of the page.
